Bray Control Valves offer precision control and bubble-tight shut off combined in one valve. These valves feature fast response times to control signals due to advanced digitally controlled actuators plus the inherent strengths of butterfly valves. Other features include high flow capacity, ease of maintenance and exceptional interface with PLCs and computer command signals.
Bray's resilient seated control butterfly valves range from 1"–24" (25mm–600mm) and are available with a variety of body materials in both wafer, lug and flanged styles. Disc materials include Nylon 11 powder coated ductile iron, aluminum, bronze, stainless steel, or PTFE and UHMWPE molded over stainless steel discs. Pressure ratings are available from vacuum to 175 psi (12 bar) and ASME/ ANSI Class 150, 300 & 600 ratings. Non-Fire Safe valves and Fire Safe valves certified to API 607 4th Edition are offered.
All Bray valves are pressure tested to 110% of rated pressure to assure bubble tight shutoff.
All Actuators are calibrated and cycle tested before shipment. Pneumatic actuators are also pressure tested to assure no leakage.
Material Traceability - Certification is provided for all valves upon request for all pressure retaining components.
Positive Material Identification - All materials are subjected to PMI testing to verify material traceability certificate.
The American-BFV® provides the features that engineers and users have requested and are included in the AWWA C504 and C516 Butterfly Valve standards. The American-BFV® is designed to provide long life and trouble-free performance. If maintenance becomes necessary, the valve is also designed for easy field service. The shaft seal incorporates V-type packing which is easily replaced in the field without removal from the line. Adjustment of the resilient seat is easily performed with a torque wrench, as compared to epoxy filled seats that require special equipment and materials or bonded seats that cannot be replaced or adjusted in the field.
