GESTRA Control Valve with ZK Radial Stage Nozzle®

Gestra manufactures the ZK control valve, combining a valve body and the Gestra radial stage nozzle with the valve plug acting as a control unit. The Gestra ZK is suited for various applications in industry and power stations, including leak-off control, drainage and warm-up, level control, and injection cooling. The radial stage nozzle ensures a rapid and reliable adaptation to the prevailing operating conditions. In the event of modified operating conditions, the control valve can be adapted to the new situation by repositioning or exchanging the radial stage nozzle. The valve need not be removed from the line for this purpose.

For leak-off control for feedwater and condensate pumps, the Gestra ZK is a complete system for on-off or modulating control. In drainage and warm-up and level control, the ZK radial stage nozzle control valve with an actuator, a level electrode, and a control unit constitute a total solution which can be adapted to operating conditions. In injection cooling, the ZK comes in a solution with an injection-cooling valve with a radial stage nozzle, an actuator, a temperature acquisition, and a control unit to cope with high differential pressures while ensuring extreme wear resistance and good regulating characteristics.

The Gestra ZK features include variable valve characteristics, easy valve inspection, tandem shutoff, and low sound level. Other features include its different capacity ranges, its ability to work with most actuators on the market, and its extreme wear resistance.
