Outside sales representative:
Municipal sales & Industrial sales Print posting
Summit Valve has immediate openings for 2 outside sales representatives, based out of our Edmonton office, to cover a territory in northern Alberta.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop a sales plan for your territory that will provide the greatest opportunity for growth.
- Call on OEM's, end users, and consultants to promote products, establish specifications
- Achieve sales targets by managing existing customer base and establishing new customers.
- Update customer database on a weekly basis and monitor quote activity
Qualifications:
- Goal oriented and highly organized.
- A technical background is an asset (P. Eng or C.E.T.)
- Have previous industrial valve sales experience and be technically minded with the ability to understand and learn about industrial/municipal applications.
- Have a passion for sales and be target driven.
- Candidates must provide themselves with a vehicle suitable for business purposes and have a current driver’s permit.

Primary Responsibilities:
- Day to day order entry and quote development
- Deal with and follow through on customer inquiries
- Develop solid customer relationships
- Attend company meetings and training sessions as required
Qualifications:
- Excellent communication skills
- Willingness to learn about valves and flow control related products
- A team player with a positive attitude
- Customer service experience
- Good computer and keyboarding skills with knowledge of Microsoft Outlook and Excel
- Municipal market experience an asset
