Isolation valves are used for diverting process media, facilitating maintenance, equipment removal and shutdown. Summit has a diverse line of isolation valves to meet virtually any application.

AWWA Valves

AWWA valves are vital for all facets of the distribution, collection and treatment of drinking water. AWWA provides the minimum requirements for design, installation, and performance of products used in the water industry.

Ball Valves

Ball valves are durable and usually work to achieve perfect shutoff even after years of disuse. They are therefore an excellent choice for shutoff applications (and are often preferred to globe valves and gate valves for this purpose).

Butterfly Valves

Butterfly valves shall be bubble tight against full rated pressure. Valves shall be constructed per AWWA C-504-00. Valves are suitable for bi-direction shutoff and throttling service.

Check Valves

Check valves are two-port valves, meaning they have two openings in the body, one for fluid to enter and the other for fluid to leave. There are various types of check valves used in a wide variety of applications.

Double Block & Bleed Isolation Valves

Because of the double port seals in both directions and the sealed isolation of the chamber below the plug and the areas around the plug, 90° to the port openings, a drainage connection into the plug cavity may be drilled and tapped through the body from the bottom.

Knife Gate Valves

Although Knife gate valves are designed for tough slurry applications, they can be utilized for many different applications.

Pinch Valves

A pinch valve is a full bore or fully ported type of control valve which uses a pinching effect to obstruct fluid flow. Summit carries a diverse line of Air, manual and control pinch valves that are reliable and engineered for tough slurries.

Plug Valves

Plug valves are valves with cylindrical “plugs” which can be rotated inside the valve body to control flow through the valve. The plugs in plug valves have one or more hollow passageways going sideways through the plug, so that fluid can flow through the open plug.

Slide gate (O-ported) valves

The slide through gate design cuts through solids and provides consistent operation in even the most difficult applications. O-Port style gates protect the seat face in open position, giving you longer service life.

Slurry on/off isolation valves

Slurry on/off isolation valves provide exceptional performance and reliability. Isolation valves are a key component in any fluid system as they are used to stop the flow of fluid into a particular area of the system.
