For years, an oil sands customer has relied on SlurryFlo control valves in its IPS underflow system, adapting trim configurations as flow requirements changed.
A recent trim design developed by the Special Alloy Fabricators (SAF) Engineering team extended valve service life, but they saw an opportunity to push it even further.
Now, Summit and SAF are working with site operators to improve the internal flow path, better center the erosive flow, minimize deflection, and limit wear on both the valve and downstream piping.
The goal is simple: better flow control, more reliability, and longer service life. ✅
