This Cla-Val 50-01 KO anti-cavitation pressure relief valve is set at 159 psi. When pressure climbs above that point, the valve opens and relieves the excess pressure back to atmosphere.
It’s hydraulically operated and pilot controlled, modulating as needed to protect the downstream system from pressure spikes and cavitation.
