A canola seed facility in southern Alberta recently replaced butterfly valves from Europe that were wearing out their stem seals and actuators. The process media is bleaching clay, and the service is anything but gentle.
Our team installed 8-inch Amrésist Acris butterfly valves (by Bray International, Inc.) featuring the Acriseal stem seal system. Their resistance to corrosion, permeation, and product ingress made them a natural fit for this application, and the customer appreciated having a local solution that didn’t require sourcing parts overseas.
After a successful trial, they ordered several more valves for this process. We love seeing a swap-out make this much of a difference. 👌
