Our SK team has successfully implemented a practical water solution for the City of Saskatoon by installing unique Cla-Val pressure sustaining/relief valves in autonomous reservoir buildings.
The city needed a way to monitor the valves in ‘real-time’ and have the ability to control the valves remotely with a local PLC and SCADA system. Therefore, the new Cla-Val units feature a 4-20mA positioner to relay data, and a small electric actuator to actuate the valves before the piloting systems takeover.
These features will be especially beneficial when high demands require that water be supplied to the main trunk ASAP.
