A customer in Regina called us about a Rotork IQ electric actuator that was no longer responding to signal. When our service team arrived and opened the valve chamber, they found it completely full of water after heavy rainfall and flooding.
We had no idea how long the actuator had been submerged, but it was long enough for algae to start growing inside the terminal wiring compartment!
The good news? The Rotork IQ actuator has a double-sealed design that kept the internal electrical controls protected. After a full clean-up, drying, and connection check, the actuator and valve were back in service. ✅
