Summit’s technical team recently specified 12” Cla-Val control valves for aviation fueling services at an international airport in western Canada.
These are different from the blue-painted valves we typically showcase for water. Jet fuel requires unique materials, such as Electroless Nickel Coating (ENC) on the body, Viton elastomers, and stainless-steel trim, pilots, fittings, etc.
Cla-Val X144 vortex shedding flow meters (w/ explosion-proof displays) were also installed, which are specially designed for aviation fueling applications.
