Supporting a Big Shift in Urban Energy 🌱

Oakridge Park in Vancouver is a massive mixed-use development, with approximately 5 million square feet of residential, commercial, retail, park, and community space.

Behind the scenes, Oakridge Energy is developing a low-carbon district energy system to provide heating, domestic hot water, and cooling across the site.

Summit supplied Bray International, Inc. butterfly valves with actuators for part of the media filtration system supporting this project. In this application, the valves help direct water through the filtration skid. Depending on the operating scenario, the control panel opens and closes the valves in sequence, routing water through the filter or into backwash mode.

A great project to be part of, and a good example of where valve automation fits into the larger picture.
