This week’s class was hands-on practice to examine valve torque in relation to valve type.
Our Summit ‘students’ were given several valve types to open and close. Despite all being 2-inch valves, the team was able to experience a wide range of torque requirements.
This was an excellent demonstration; we use torque charts to size actuators every day, but numbers have greater meaning when you feel them in person!
NOTE: No muscles were bruised during this exercise, only egos 😉
