Torque of the Town! 🔧

A facility in British Columbia faced a significant challenge: their 16" modulating ball valves were struggling to fully close. The resulting water bypass was draining their membrane tanks, posing a serious threat to critical treatment processes.

After a thorough on-site assessment, our team identified the root cause. The existing scotch yoke actuators lacked the torque required to properly seat their valves. To address this, Summit recommended and installed Bray International, Inc. Series 98 scotch yoke actuators.

These high torque-to-weight ratio actuators now maintain a consistent, tight shutoff. As a result, the client now enjoys a dependable system, protected membrane tanks, and the confidence that similar issues will be prevented in the future.
