The team at Summit is celebrating the marriage of three Della Foglia valves to three Rotork actuators! After meeting online, these components left their homes in Italy and England for a new life in Canada.
After a brief stay in Edmonton, the newlyweds are packed up and headed to Fort McMurray for work at a SAGD oil sands facility. Facing exhilarating careers in emergency wellhead shutdown, the group will enjoy dealing with high-pressure steam, production emulsion, and natural gas!
However, life on the well pad won’t always be glamorous; these couples will also endure wild temperature swings (-45C to +35C), heavy winds, blizzards, dust, and rain. Their long-term reliability will be paramount.
